Guitar Doctor David Payne started working as a professional luthier and repair technician in California in 1979. David has worked with many manufacturer's, as an employee or authorized/certified service technician including: Fender, Gibson, National Reso-phonic, Alembic, B.C. Rich, Peavey, Sadowsky & Mesa Boogie. Mr. Payne is also an internationally certified quality auditor, specializing in ISO 9001 standards (design, manufacture & service). Quality and Customer Satisfaction is our #1 goal.
Guitar Doctor USA's policy is "Satisfaction Guaranteed" on a "first come, first serve" basis. Repair Service is split into two sections: minor and major.
Minor service includes: set-ups, fret mill/dress, electronic modifications & maintenance, nut replacement, etc. Minor repairs and maintenance are usually turned around quicker than major service in order to expedite use of valuable, limited Guitar Doctor time.
Major service includes work exceeding 1-hour labor; re-frets, structural / cosmetic work, custom wiring, bridge work, modifications, paint, etc.
Emergency repair and maintenance can be arranged at double the hourly labor rate.
